These satellite workshops are still staffed by Open World instructors and team members, and all necessary workshop materials will be provided (as always!). Learn more about out other campuses below, and explore which workshops they will host this upcoming summer.<\/p>\n<p>Note that as of November 2025, the only finalized workshop schedules are for DigiPen Redmond and Cascadia College. Each workshop will have at least two adults present. The average camper-to-staff ratio is 9:1, with most workshops enrolling a maximum of 15\u201320 students. However, workshops for Explorers (ages 6\u20138) are capped at 15 students.<\/p>\n<p>All Open World staff are required to have up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification. They also undergo background checks and drug tests.<\/p>\n<p>Both the DigiPen Redmond campus and the Cascadia college campus have on-site security.<\/p>\n<p>During camp registration, you will have the opportunity to provide any information about your child\u2019s allergies and\/or any medications your child may require. Don\u2019t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about your child\u2019s medical or dietary needs while at Open World.<\/p>\n<h2>Emergencies<\/h2>\n<p>In emergencies, we will communicate with parents as quickly as possible after establishing the safety of the students. In the event of a large-scale emergency that requires pickup, we use the DigiPen mass communication tool, Regroup, to text and email families.<\/p>\n<h2>Accommodations<\/h2>\n<p>We welcome all students at Open World! For students who require specific accommodations, please let us know, and we will be happy to work with you on necessary arrangements and preparations. Examples of past accommodations include having an aide join the student in class, flexibility in curriculum, and additional adult support where needed. Drop-off will take place on the top level of the North Garage on Campus Way NE, across from building CC2. The North Garage address is 18500 Campus Way NE, Bothell. Please enter from the north via Beardslee Blvd. and 110th Ave. NE. There will be street signage directing you toward the drop-off line. Staff will be waiting on the top level of the North Garage to safely walk children across the street to building CC2.\n<ul>\n<li>If you arrive later than 8:45 a.m., please call Emily Collins, Operations Manager, at (425) 400-6009 to arrange for a staff member to meet your student in the drop-off area.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/yourplanbproductions.com\/openworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Cascadia-Drop-Off-and-Pick-Up-Map_v2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Cascadia Drop-Off Map<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>DigiPen<\/strong> campus drop-off runs from <strong>8:30\u20139:00 a.m.<\/strong> every morning at 9931 Willows Road NE, Redmond. Drop-off will take place behind DigiPen&#8217;s main building. There will be street signage directing you toward the drop-off line.\n<ul>\n<li>If you arrive later than 9:15 a.m., please park in the front of the building and enter through the front doors. A staff member will meet you there to check in your student.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/yourplanbproductions.com\/openworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/DigiPen-Drop-Off-and-Pick-Up-Map.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DigiPen Drop-Off Map<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>At both locations, staff will help students out of cars in the drop-off line. Students still need to enter through the back entrance for check-in.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lunch and Snacks<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Lunch and two snacks are included with your student&#8217;s workshop. Students may bring their lunch, but all students must remain on campus during lunch and are not permitted to leave the campus for any reason. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the day.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bytesredmond.square.site\/open-world\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Menu for the Current Session(s)<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Absences, Illness, and Masks<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If your student will be absent, please notify us at <a href=\"mailto:openworld@digipen.edu\">openworld@digipen.edu<\/a>. If you need to drop your student off late or pick them up early, please email or call us at <strong>(425) 629-5046<\/strong>. If your student displays any signs of illness, please keep them at home and contact us.<\/li>\n<li>Masks are optional on both Cascadia&#8217;s and DigiPen&#8217;s campuses. We will have extra child- and adult-sized masks on hand if your student would like one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Odds and Ends<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Students will be outside for part of each day, so please send them wearing sunscreen! Students still need to enter through the back entrance for check-in.<\/p> <h3>Lunch and Snacks<\/h3> <p>Lunch and two snacks are included with your student's workshop. Students may bring their lunch, but all students must remain on campus during lunch and are not permitted to leave the campus for any reason. We will have extra child- and adult-sized masks on hand if your student would like one.<\/li> <\/ul> <h3>Odds and Ends<\/h3> <ul> <li>Students will be outside for part of each day, so please send them wearing sunscreen!
