Open World is excited whenever DigiPen faculty members and other expert creative professionals want to share their knowledge directly with the next generation of creators. Our Masterclasses offer students the opportunity to learn from these experienced instructors in an engaging, focused environment.
We’re proud to offer this Level Design Masterclass, taught by Bill Morrison from DigiPen’s Department of Design. The curriculum will cover the relative advantages/disadvantages of 2D- vs. 3D-game level design. Designing and developing their levels in both Maya and Unity, students will get to learn game design from start to finish, encompassing everything from planning, designing, building, and testing their projects. By the end of the Masterclass, students will be able to take everything they’ve learned and apply it to their own exciting game projects at home!
