The Tradition exhibit explores many of Kenilworth’s well kept traditions such as holding the Memorial Day Parade a week early.<\/h2>

The story goes that in 1919, the newly formed Kenilworth Boy Scouts were asked to march in the Winnetka Memorial Day Parade (known as Decoration Day at that time). So they wouldn’t embarrass themselves, they practiced a week early throughout the streets of Kenilworth. Ever since then, the village has been hosting its official parade a week early.\u00a0 The exhibit also covers other traditions such as Field Day, the Girl Scout’s Scamper Night, Pancake Breakfast, and many more.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
